Tennis Background
Bruce A. Hartrich has been teaching tennis since 1994 — over 30 years of continuous coaching experience with players of every age and skill level.
His foundation as a teacher comes from training under Dennis Van Der Meer at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center.
Dennis Van Der Meer is widely considered the father of modern tennis teaching. He trained more tennis professionals than anyone in the history of the sport and developed the standardized teaching method used by coaches worldwide. Studying directly under Van Der Meer means Bruce's instruction is rooted in the same methodology that shaped the modern teaching profession.
University of Indianapolis Coaching
Bruce served as assistant coach of the University of Indianapolis Men's Tennis Team from 2012 to 2016, handling day-to-day coaching of the men's program.
During those years, the program won its first Regional Championship in school history.
