    Private Tennis Lessons in Indianapolis

    $80/hr

Private lessons are the fastest path from where you play now to where you want to play. You get every rep, every correction, and a plan you can practice between sessions. Unlike a group setting where the coach has to split attention six ways, a private hour is entirely about you — the way you swing, the way you move, and the specific patterns that break down when the score gets tight.

Most improving players find that one private lesson per week paired with one or two hours of self-practice or league play produces meaningful improvement within a month. Serious tournament players and adults training for a specific event typically take two or three privates per week during peak preparation cycles.

What a private lesson looks like

A typical hour opens with a 10-minute warm-up and stroke audit — a coach can learn more from three minutes of feeding than from an hour of talking. From there we move into isolated technical work on the one or two things holding your game back, then finish with live-ball or point-play blocks so the new movement locks in under actual pressure. You leave with a specific, small assignment for the week.

    Video analysis included

Every private student gets short slow-motion clips of the strokes we work on. Frame-by-frame video beats guessing — you see exactly what changed, when contact moved, and how the racket path evolved. Clips are shared with you after the lesson so you can review before the next session and come in already primed on what to work on.

    60-minute vs 90-minute sessions

The 60-minute lesson is the workhorse and fits almost every student. The 90-minute session earns its keep when you are working on multiple strokes simultaneously, preparing for a tournament, or want a full point-play block at the end. Most students eventually use both — 60 for weekly maintenance, 90 in build-up cycles.

    Rates and packages

Single private lessons are $80/hour. Packages of 5 and 10 lessons include a small discount and priority booking for premium time slots — early mornings, evenings, and weekend windows fill first. Packages have no expiration and can be split between adult and junior family members.

What to expect after your first lesson

After a first private, most new students walk off court with a clear picture of two or three specific things to work on and a realistic timeline for improvement. You will not be told your game is broken and rebuilt from scratch — that rarely works. You will be told exactly what to keep, what to sharpen, and what to replace, in that order.
