High Performance Tennis Coaching in Indianapolis

High performance is not one lesson at a time — it is a season. Every session connects to the last one and to the tournament three weeks from now. The program is built for players whose goals require a year of coordinated work: sectional championships, high-school state runs, college recruiting, or a serious jump in USTA rating.

Bruce runs the high performance program as a small cohort — never more than a handful of players at once, so each gets the attention a real development program requires. Players in the program have gone on to play college tennis at NCAA Division I, II, and III levels and to sectional finals in adult USTA leagues.

    What is in the program

Two to four on-court sessions per week depending on age and season, monthly video review with a written technical report, mental-game homework between sessions, and a tournament calendar built and reviewed together each month. The exact mix is calibrated to the player — a high-school junior in fall build-up looks different from a 4.5 adult peaking for a sectional playoff.

    Who this is for

Competitive junior tournament players ranked or aiming for sectional ranking, high-school varsity hopefuls or number-ones, adults preparing for state or sectional playoffs, and college-hopeful juniors building a recruiting résumé. Program admission is by conversation — the fit matters more than the current level.

    Seasonal planning

The year breaks into cycles: technical build (usually late fall through early spring), competition sharpen (spring), peaking (summer for juniors, fall for adult league season), and recovery. Each cycle has its own session emphasis, and the tournament calendar is built to match — no random entries.

    Video and match review

Every high performance student gets a full-length filmed match reviewed monthly, with written notes on tactical patterns, decision-making, and technical breakdowns. This is the single highest-leverage tool at the competitive level — most players never get honest match tape review from a coach.

    Off-court integration

The program coordinates with off-court trainers, physical therapists, and mental performance specialists when the player is working with them. Bruce does not replace those specialists — he coordinates the plan so every hour of training compounds.
